At the foot of the Aso volcano in Kumomoto, the tea bushes of this typical Kumomoto tea thrive. The infusion has a deep green colour. This, because in Kumomoto the tea bushes are usually shaded before harvesting. In addition, the tea is generally more steamed to emphasize the tea’s sweetness.

Aso Kara No Kaze means “wind that blows from the volcano Aso”. A homage to the ever present volcano at the gates of Kumomoto. For this tea, only tea leaves from current harvest (shincha) were used.
