Hong Qing is a rare green tea from China. The name is borne out by the fact that this tea was baked in ovens instead of fried in pans like Longjing or other flat shaped teas. The tea leaves for our Hong Qing green tea where grown on Huang Shan, the Yellow Mountain in Anhui Province. From the same place is also our Huang Shan Mao Feng. Because Hong Qing is harvested a little bit later than Mao Feng it’s a bit stronger in taste, but shares it’s overall flavor profile.
The manufacturer of our Hong Qing produces entirely organic. In order to achieve this goal, all tea farmers of a whole valley have been obligated to produce their tea all organic.
