This Matcha set includes a bamboo spoon, a Matcha whisk, a Chawan and 30g of the finest Matcha which are delivered in a decorative gift box. The gift boxes were elaborately hand-covered with Thai silk. This makes the entire set very elegant and an ideal gift for tea lovers and those who will become tea lovers.
This Tenmoku Chawan symbolises the element of fire with its rust-brown grain. Tenmoku Chawan were originally used for taking medicine. The V-shape ensures that the powder collects in the centre. A Tenmoku Chawwan is therefore especially predestined for Koicha. But of course it can also be used for Usucha. Due to its extremely light weight and somewhat smaller design, this chawan is also suitable for small hands and can even be used with one hand. This chawan is handmade and therefore unique. For this reason, each piece differs slightly from the other.
This Tenmoku Chawan is currently delivered in a handmade gift box made of mulberry paper. The boxes are decorated with a pattern that is based on the grain of Japanese koi. Koi have a special meaning in Japanese culture and are therefore revered.
All components of the set, such as the Matcha, are also available separately.
