Description

Sencha of Brigthness is planted by Obubu Tea Plantation on a south-west slope and harvested in July. The bushes for this tea are shaded two weeks prior to harvest. Through this special treatment is “Sencha of Brightness” milder than ordinary sencha but still refreshing. Because of the short steaming time of only 20 seconds is this kind of steaming classified as asamushi while sencha with standard steaming time is referred as chumushi.
The farm of Obubu Tea Plantation is located in the municipality Wazuka of the Kyoto Prefecture and is situated at an altitude of 500m above sea level. Kyoto is known as the center of the Japanese tea. Many famous teas like gyokuro and  matcha have their origin here.
