Sencha of Brigthness is planted by Obubu Tea Plantation on a south-west slope and harvested in July. The bushes for this tea are shaded two weeks prior to harvest. Through this special treatment is “Sencha of Brightness” milder than ordinary sencha but still refreshing. Because of the short steaming time of only 20 seconds is this kind of steaming classified as asamushi while sencha with standard steaming time is referred as chumushi.
