Shincha Fukamushi Sencha

This Shincha Sencha is grown in the small village Ujitawara. This Sencha is made from the very first harvest of the year. Due to the very early harvest this tea gets the Shincha typical refreshing flavor. In addition, the teas sweetness is accentuated due to the deeper steaming of Fukamushi.

Ujitawara is located in Kyoto Prefecture, not far from Uji. Kyoto is well known as the birthplace of Japanese tea ceremony and also of many well-known types of tea such as Matcha and Gyokuro.

Harvest: May 2017 
Taste: Sweet and refreshing aroma.
Origin: Ujitawa, Prefecture Kyoto, Japan.
Varietal: Yabukita
Preparation: Appx. 5g per serving, temperature 75 - 80°C,  time 1-2 min.
Tip: Use rather a higher leaf to water ratio and infuse repetetly for short time. First infusion max. 60s and all futher infusions only 30s as the leaves are already soaked. Use a Kyusu tea pot.
