Hoshino Kabuse Sencha Yamanoibuki
The tea leaves for this Kabuse Sencha were carefully picked in the renowned village of Hoshino in Yame. “Hoshino” translates to “star field,” a fitting name for this remote mountain valley where the stars shine with exceptional brilliance. Kabuse Sencha from mountain valleys like Yame is a rare find; the cooler temperatures in these high-altitude regions cause the harvest to start about a month later than in lower, warmer areas. However, these lower temperatures contribute to the development of more intense and complex flavors in the tea.
This particular tea is crafted from the Yamanoibuki cultivar. Yamanoibuki is a relative of the famous Yabukita cultivar, sharing some characteristics while bringing its own distinct qualities.
The full-bodied nature of Yamanoibuki, combined with the classic Yabukita freshness, results in a tea with a truly unique aroma. This harmonious blend of richness and freshness makes this Kabuse Sencha an exceptional and memorable experience for any tea enthusiast.
